TakeUrOwn

Overview

TakeUrOwn is a live photo wall for weddings, golf outings, corporate events, conferences, fundraisers and family reunions. Guests scan a QR code, pick photos on their phone, and every photo appears on the screen at the venue within seconds and in a shared gallery. Afterwards the organizer downloads every original at full resolution. It started at one wedding in Attica, Michigan in July 2026, and enough people asked for it afterwards that it became a service. Coderize designed, built and runs the platform for TakeUrOwn.

The Challenge

The best photos of an event are on the guests' phones, and most of them never reach the host. Anything that needs an app or an account loses most of the room. Venues like golf courses and marquees have poor signal, the host needs to be able to pull a photo off the screen instantly, and one system has to run many clients' events at once without any of them seeing each other's photos.

Our Solution

Guests use a plain web page opened from the QR code, with no app store, sign-up or password. Photos queue on the phone and send when signal returns. A Fastify API with Socket.IO pushes each upload to the slideshow and gallery as it lands, and a per-event moderator link lets the organizer remove a photo from every screen in two taps or hold all photos for approval. Organizers set up an event themselves in a couple of minutes and pay per event through Stripe Checkout. One multi-tenant deployment serves every event, so adding a client is a database row, not a deploy.
