Overview
Doug Ferrell is Lapeer County's most-trusted real estate agent — 4.9 stars across 57+ reviews, $18M+ in homes sold in a single year, and voted Best of the Best by County Press readers 12 years running. Working with Realty Executives Main Street, he handles residential and commercial property within about an hour of Lapeer, Michigan.
The Challenge
Nearly every agent website is a template IDX portal that looks identical to thousands of others. Doug's reputation was built face-to-face over decades, but buyers and sellers increasingly start their search on Google — and, more and more, in AI assistants. The site needed to showcase listings, capture leads, and get found in both, while consolidating a second owned domain into one canonical SEO presence.
Our Solution
We built a fast, static Astro site with a native property search experience, MLS listing pages, and hyperlocal community and school guides for Lapeer County. A single source of truth drives both visible business facts and JSON-LD structured data so they never drift. llms.txt and an AI-crawler-friendly robots.txt make the business citable by AI search engines, and youfindahome.com 301-redirects into the search experience to keep SEO consolidated on lapeerrealty.com.
