Overview

Green's Deer Ranch Zoo and Tours is a five-generation family ranch in Caro, Michigan offering guided hay-wagon tours through pastures of whitetail deer, elk, and bison, plus a petting zoo and a tractor-tire playground. They wanted a website that captured the authentic family-ranch character — explicitly not a theme park — while still answering the practical questions every visiting family asks before they drive.

The Challenge

Family-attraction websites live or die on whether they answer 'when are you open and how much does it cost?' in the first ten seconds. Seasonal hours, weekday-vs-weekend variance, and per-age-group pricing all need to be unmistakable. At the same time, the brand voice had to stay grounded — five generations of ranching, not a corporate park — so the design and copy needed to feel local without feeling dated.

Our Solution

We built a fast Astro site with seasonal hours and ticket pricing surfaced prominently on the homepage. The ranch's family story and wildlife (whitetail deer, elk, bison) are showcased through editorial-style content blocks. Local SEO targets Caro and the broader Thumb region, and Schema.org markup helps Google surface the right business hours and directions for visiting families.
